Meeting Venue

All meeting sessions will be held in the New Zealand Rooms on level 5 of the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre, 88 Federal Street, Auckland. Located in Auckland's CBD, the SKYCITY Convention Centre is approximately 21kms from Auckland Airport, and is easily accessible by car, bus and taxi. Click here for a google map reference.

On Site Registration

The registration desk will be located in the New Zealand Promenade area on Level 5 of the SKYCITY Convention Centre, and will be open from 8am on Friday 8 March, and 7am onwards from Saturday 9 March. Please ensure you check-in at the registration desk to collect your name badge and registration material - admission to the exhibition and scientific sessions is by name badge only.

On Site Parking

Public car parking is available in the SKYCITY main car park, which is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, but may be closed due to parking unavailability during periods of high use (i.e. Friday and Saturday nights). SKYCITY Convention Centre attendees are able to validate their tickets to obtain discounted rates in the validation machine at the Level 4 Business Centre before exiting the SKYCITY Convention Centre. Valet parking is also available for all hotel guests at the rate of $40.00 each day, or $55 per day for those staying off site.

Meeting Dinner

We are pleased to be offering a Meeting Dinner as a great way to enjoy the Auckland waterfront view and socialise with colleagues. A designated table is available for trainees, while others may choose their seats pre-dinner - look for the dinner seating plan near the registration desk.

Health & Safety

The Conference Managers, in conjunction with the Organising Committee and the Meeting Venue, are committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy meeting environment for all attendees. Relevant Health & Safety information regarding First Aid and emergency/evacuation procedures will be available at the registration desk and provided during the opening plenary sessions each day. If you have any health and safety concerns during the meeting, please inform the registration desk staff or a staff member at the Meeting Venue.

Complimentary Wireless

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre, SKYCITY Hotel and SKYCITY Grand - no username or password is required to log in. The SSID networking name is SKYCITY Conventions Free Wi-Fi.

Dress Code

The dress code for all scientific sessions, and social functions, is smart casual.

Attendance certificates will be provided in an electronic format and emailed out following the meeting.

Meeting App

The Meeting App is a brand-new innovation for ARGANZ 2019, which will include the meeting programme, abstracts, speaker biographies, sponsor and exhibitor listings, regular alerts to keep you updated during the course of the meeting, a live Q and A function, and a voting link for Poster submissions.   • Search for the Event App by EventsAIR within your Android or iOS App Store
  • Download and install the app
  • Enter App Code: arganz2019

All Devices - Web-Based URL

  • Once downloaded, you are able to 'add it to your homescreen' using your web-browser settings

Log-In to the Meeting App

Some functions of the app are only available for users who are logged-in (such as viewing and messaging your fellow attendees, creating your own agenda, posting questions during selected sessions, and updating your profile photo). If several icons within the app appear greyed out/lighter in colour, then you need to log-in to access the content of those icons. Once you have logged-in for the first time, you will not need to re-enter your email address and app pin.

Personal Information

When you log-in to the app for the first time, a pop-up box will appear asking whether you would like to opt-in or opt-out of the App User list within the app. If you decide to opt-in to share your details, your basic profile will appear in the App User list (name, organisation, position and country), but your personal contact details, such as your phone number and email address, will not be shared. If you opt-in to the App User list, other attendees will be able to view your basic profile and message you via the meeting app. Please note, you can update your visibility preferences at any time by clicking on the My Details icon.
